This special issue of Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science builds on contributions presented at the 7th International Mangrove Macrobenthos and Management Meeting (MMM7), bringing together interdisciplinary research that advances both fundamental understanding and applied management of mangrove ecosystems.
The issue welcomes original research, reviews, and perspectives addressing a wide range of themes, including but not limited to:
· Mangrove biodiversity, species interactions, and ecosystem functioning across environmental gradients
· Climate change impacts, resilience, and range dynamics at biogeographic limits
· Blue carbon, biogeochemical cycling, and ecosystem service valuation
· Restoration, rehabilitation, and nature-based solutions for coastal protection
· Socio-ecological systems, fisheries linkages, and coastal livelihoods
· Governance, policy, and community-based management approaches
· Emerging tools and technologies for monitoring, modelling, and conservation
All authors of poster and oral presentations made at MMM7 are welcome to submit to this special issue.
