Registration for MMM7 is managed through an online registration system operated by our partner, Nippon Travel Agency Okinawa Co., Ltd. The agency is responsible for handling participant registration, lunch box reservations, and payment processing, and also offers accommodation booking services.
For participants’ convenience, we provide a summary of the registration information here. Please visit the official registration webpage for complete details on registration procedures and payment.
The MMM7 Organizing Committee carefully calculated the necessary costs for hosting the conference in Ishigaki City and set the registration fees accordingly. All fees collected from participants are used by the Committee on their behalf to cover essential conference expenses, including venue, logistics, activities, materials, and operational support. No profit is generated from the registration fees, and the registration fees alone are not sufficient to cover all conference expenses. We expect to receive additional financial support from several institutions and organizations. After the conference, a financial report summarizing income and expenditures will be made available to all participants.
Participants of MMM7 are classified into Delegates (Professional researchers, academics, organization employees, including postdoctoral researchers and research fellows), Students (those who provide a copy of a valid student ID or certificate of enrollment to the MMM7 Secretariat), and Accompanying Persons. Delegates and Students are eligible to present their research in oral, flash-poster, or poster sessions. Accompanying Persons are welcome to attend the conference, but cannot make presentations.
According to the World Bank Country Lending Groups, participants are categorized based on their country of affiliation (not nationality). The MMM7 Organizing Committee has established two fee categories: Higher Income and Lower Income countries. We understand that this classification may not fully satisfy all participants due to diverse economic contexts. However, the registration fees were determined carefully and uniformly. Requests for individual negotiation or fee reduction cannot be accepted. We appreciate your kind understanding.
Registration and payment are required to participate in MMM7. Upon completing payment, participants will have access to all scientific sessions and coffee breaks, the option to order lunchboxes and visa application support at special rates, and the opportunity to attend the Conference Dinner.
Note on Child Care:
Due to the logistical challenges of hosting an international conference on a remote island, the MMM7 Organizing Committee is unfortunately unable to provide official childcare services. In some cases, we may be able to introduce private childcare providers, depending on local availability. If you need such assistance, please contact the MMM7 Secretariat in advance.
Also, please note that the venue does not have facilities specifically designed for infants or young children. The “Accompanying Person” category is intended for adults only. Bringing infants or young children to the conference venue may require individual consideration and prior approval. If you plan to bring children to the venue, please inform the Secretariat in advance so that we can provide appropriate guidance. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding these arrangements.
