Welcome to the MMM7 (7th Mangrove Macrobenthos and Management) Conference, jointly organized by the University of the Ryukyus and the International Society for Mangrove Ecosystems (ISME), in collaboration with mangrove researchers from Southeast Asia. We are pleased to hold the MMM series in Japan, in particular in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa. This meeting will offer a unique opportunity to engage in scholarly discussions and presentations adjacent to Japan's most pristine mangrove forests. We believe all participants will enjoy the well-conserved mangrove forests near the northern limit of distribution. We look forward to your active participation and valuable contributions to advancing mangrove research to the next generation.

Notice

Due to the limitations of the Conference Venue, we have some restrictions.
- All conference activities must be between July 1st and 5th, 2026, including setup and clean-up.
- Opening of the Conference, afternoon on 1st July
- Closing of the Conference, late afternoon on 5th July
- Single venue session.
- Consuming food and beverages in the conference hall is strictly prohibited.
- No mid-conference excursion is planned at this moment.
- We may limit the number of participants (< around 400).
July marks the beginning of the summer tourist season in Japan, so we recommend securing accommodation as early as possible.
